MOSE

On the night of June 23rd, Mose invites you into one of Būtība’s most sacred and anticipated evenings — a Cacao Ceremony and Ecstatic Dance journey held beneath the open sky on the shores of the Daugava.

As you enter the dance floor, an intentional container is set — a space of presence, depth and openness, where the body becomes the instrument and the music becomes the guide. The evening opens with a Cacao Ceremony led by Mose, invoking intention, gratitude and an open heart, preparing the ground for what follows.

Beyond the multicultural rhythms and steady hypnotic beat, Mose weaves ephemeral chanting of sacred songs and calls to love, kindness and compassion — often bringing in live musicians to create something improvisational, born from that particular place and time. He creates with the intention to lay a foundation for self-discovery and the cultivation of a present-minded state, offering new insights and deeper clarity in one’s purpose.

Joining Mose on this night is Murray Kyle — a gifted live musician from Australia, whose voice and instruments deepen the ceremony and carry the dance into new dimensions. Together they craft a sound that is at once ancient and alive, personal and universal.
This is not just a dance. It is a homecoming.
